Mast Park Disc Golf Course Carlton hills opened in 2015
A new public disc golf course opened in Santee, California last week. Mast Park, which is on the San Diego River and spans 101.5 acres, features an assortment of specialty discs. There are also benches and ground cover. During the next few years, the park will undergo a complete remodel, including low-growing native grass and a portable restroom. Players will have the opportunity to enjoy wide-open shots as well as tight tunnels.
In addition to the course, the park will also have a dog park. Residents of nearby neighborhoods will be able to enjoy the off-leash dog park while working out on the course. A dog park is also a great place to exercise and play with friends, while disc golf is a fun way to spend an afternoon. The park also has a full-court basketball court, ping-pong/bean bag toss (cornhole) games, fitness equipment, and a shaded Tot Lot.
It will reopen in 2020
After undergoing a $12 million facelift, Mast Park Disc Golf Course reopened on Feb. 1. The course was previously closed due to coronavirus, but it will be back in late Spring. The park is a popular destination for families, as it features an enclosed dog park, a nine-hole disc golf course, and a well-lit loop trail. The new lighting will allow the course to stay open until dusk.
The re-opening marks the end of a lengthy 14-month closure. This new nine-hole course is a showcase of environmental sustainability, and the park will offer plenty of new activities to keep people entertained. During the closure, the park was closed to the public, but it reopened on Saturday. In addition to the disc golf course, the park now includes a dog park, ping pong, bean bag toss (cornhole), fitness equipment, and a shaded Tot Lot.
It will get a facelift
Located on the east side of Carlton Hills Boulevard, Mast Park Disc Golf Course is one of San Diego’s free golf courses. The park was first opened in 1970 and is known as “The Sandbox” in Shasta County. The course has become so popular that it has driven out the transient population. In the meantime, disc golfers are a great way to get some fresh air and exercise.
The renovation will focus on public safety, ensuring that families can play disc golf without worry. New lighting will improve sightlines for deputies and create a well-lit loop course. In addition, hours will be extended to 10 p.m., giving families time to play disc golf even if the sun goes down. It’s a good idea to plan ahead and make your next outing a great day for the entire family. Check Out This Article.
It will have a concession stand
The concession stand will be located in the middle of the park. The course is slated to open in January, and the city plans to add more features, including a nature discovery area and a story book trail. The project also includes a dedicated parking space for sheriff’s deputies. The city also plans to expand the park’s hours to 10 pm. A concession stand is the perfect addition to a disc golf course, so plan to stay until then.
There will be several options for food and drink. The course will feature local cuisine and a full bar. Concession stands will be available at each hole. There will also be restrooms at every hole, and food trucks will be available to purchase. The course will have two sets of restrooms. A concession stand will be located near the tee box, and the course is wheelchair accessible. There will also be a lighted walking path and playground.
It will have a new off-leash dog park
Located in Carlton hills, the Mast Park Disc Golf Course will soon feature an off-leash dog park. With its riverside trails, picnic/BBQ area, ball court, and playground, the park is a great place for you and your furry friend to spend the day. If you don’t have a dog, the new off-leash dog park will be a welcomed addition to the course.
The park has nine holes and alternating A/B pads. The dog park is expected to be opened by late spring. The course is located adjacent to private homes, making parking difficult. The fenced-in dog park will feature a portable restroom. The park also features a basketball court and a walking path that leads to the San Diego River. Disc golfers will love the new dog park, and owners will be thrilled to have another location to play with their pups. Next article!
